Oreos
- 1/2 of a 15.5 oz package of regular Oreos (about 20 cookies)
White Chocolate Mixture
- 24 oz bag of white chocolate morsels
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp of mint extract (depending on desired mintiness)
- Green food coloring, a few drops
- Prepare the Oreos: Break the Oreos into small pieces and place them in a mixing bowl. This will add a crunchy texture to the bark.
- Melt the White Chocolate: Melt the white chocolate morsels according to package instructions, either using a microwave-safe bowl in short intervals or a double boiler, stirring frequently to ensure smooth melting.
- Add Flavor and Color: Quickly stir the mint extract and green food coloring into the melted white chocolate to evenly distribute the mint flavor and achieve a vibrant color.
- Combine with Oreos: Pour the broken Oreo pieces into the white chocolate mixture and gently fold them together until well coated.
- Set the Bark: Pour the combined mixture onto a wax paper-lined pan, spreading it evenly. Place the pan into the freezer for two hours to allow the bark to harden completely.
- Serve: Once hardened, break the bark into irregular pieces and enjoy your refreshing Mint Oreo Bark!
Notes
- Adjust the amount of mint extract to suit your taste preference for mintiness.
- Use wax or parchment paper to prevent sticking during freezing.
- Store the bark in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer for longer shelf life.
- For a dairy-free version, substitute white chocolate morsels with a vegan alternative.
- If you prefer a stronger crunch, add extra Oreo pieces on top before freezing.
